3M AP-601 is designed to be used with Versaflo (SAR) Supplied Air Respirators.
There are 4 potential sources for contamination to supplied breathing air typical systems and 3M's Air Filtration Panel can help you monitor and filter them.
Atmospheric Contaminants
Environmental pollution, which includes particulates & odors may be pulled into compressor air inlets.
Compressor Contaminants
Fast moving parts functioning inside the compressor will generate oil mist & fine particles which may be transferred around the compressed plant's air.
Air Distribution Piping
Rust, scale, water and oil can accumulate inside old piping & contribute to the airborne particle count, mist & odors in compressed plant air.
Leaks
Faulty piping and pipe connections may allow airborne vapors and gases to be taken into the system's air stream.
