AEMC 3620 2114.90 3-Point Analog Ground Resistance Tester

The AEMC 3620 Analog 3-Point Ground Resistance Tester performs ground resistance measurement from 0.5 to 1000 Ohms with unsurpassed accuracy and speed.

The 3620 features 3 terminal operation for fall of potential earth and ground resistance, and can be used for 2-Point tests as well. The large 3.1 inch logarithmic scale is very easy to read, and has a separate marking for 25 Ohms. A manual zero adjust is provided for accurate readings, and color coded terminals are easy to use with banana plug inputs and binding posts.

3620 Features

  • Fall of Potential method for 2 and 3-Point ground resistance testing
  • Direct reading on large analog display 0.5 to 1000 Ohms as well as easy 25 Ohm readings
  • Large 3.1 inch (77 millimeter) easy to read scale for accuracy
  • Built in battery check
  • 3 color coded terminals
  • Large press to measure buttons
  • Compact and portable
  • Easy to operate just connect, press, and read
  • Engineered to reject high levels of interference and noise

The 3620 is the perfect instrument for power utilities, electrical contractors, telephone and CATV technicians, REAs, and inspectors who need to check ground to determine compliance with OSHA, NEC, and other specifications.

  • Measuring earth resistance of the type of small ground grids or single rod usually found in remote telecommunication switching sites
  • Measuring ground electrode resistance of lightning protection equipment
  • Measuring the earth electrode resistances of equipment located in recreational areas
  • Testing electrode resistance of grids and ground rods at new construction sites, when utility supplied power has not been supplied
  • Testing earth electrode resistance of grounded towers at cellular phone remote installations
