Insulation Removal Vacuums and Equipment

Insulation Removal Vacuum Selection:

If you are shopping for an insulation vacuum, it is important to choose the right size for the job. Insulation vacuums come in a variety of sizes, from small, portable models to large, industrial-grade models. The size of the insulation vacuum that you need will depend on the size of the area that you need to extract insulation and the type of insulation that you are removing.  In addition, overall monthly usage time comes into play.  For some contractors, vacuuming out insulation is something they only do a handful of times a month.  We also have customers that are using their insulation removal vacuum daily.  Another factor, for many of our customers,  is that speed and efficiency come into play to reduce man hours when removing blown in insulation.

In addition to the size of the insulation vacuum, you will also need to consider the type of insulation that you are removing. There are a number of different types of insulation, and some insulation vacuums are better suited for certain types of insulation than others. For example, some insulation vacuums are designed to remove loose-fill insulation, while others are designed to remove batt insulation. Here are the common uses for an insulation vacuum:

  • Loose-fill Insulation Removal: These vacuums are designed to handle the loose, fluffy nature of loose-fill insulation, preventing clogs and ensuring efficient removal.

  • Batt Insulation Removal: Batt insulation, with its pre-cut sections, can be cumbersome to remove. Insulation vacuums streamline the process by sucking up the insulation effectively.

  • Blown-in Insulation Removal: Blown-in insulation, often cellulose-based, can be dusty and challenging to remove. Insulation vacuums capture these materials efficiently, minimizing airborne dust particles.
  • Rockwool Insulation Removel:  Rockwool presents its own challenges as it is very abrasive.  We have machines that are made from thicken steel as well as having extra shroud and impeller thickness to handle the constant abrasiviness of Rockwool insulation.
